About the Journal

Focus

LOSARI: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat publishes high-quality community service, community engagement, implementation, dissemination, and technology transfer articles that demonstrate the application of scientific knowledge, research findings, innovation, and empowerment models to address real-world community challenges. The journal prioritizes evidence-based community service manuscripts that present measurable impacts and sustainable outcomes through rigorous quantitative and/or qualitative evaluation methods.

The journal serves as a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, extension workers, healthcare professionals, educators, and community facilitators to disseminate community service initiatives that transform scientific knowledge into practical solutions for societal challenges. LOSARI encourages contributions that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world community needs while advancing sustainable development and community well-being.

LOSARI prioritizes manuscripts reporting research-to-community implementation, technology transfer, capacity-building interventions, community empowerment programs, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and innovative solutions that have been systematically evaluated and shown to generate meaningful and measurable benefits for communities.

What sets LOSARI apart: LOSARI is not a journal of activity documentation. We prioritize manuscripts that demonstrate how scientific knowledge, research findings, technologies, innovations, or empowerment models have been implemented in real community settings and evaluated through measurable indicators. Preferred submissions present evidence of community impact using structured evaluation methods such as pre-post assessments, surveys, performance indicators, adoption rates, productivity measurements, economic outcomes, behavioral changes, or qualitative impact analyses. Through this approach, LOSARI aims to become a leading platform for evidence-based community service scholarship that connects academic excellence with tangible societal impact.

Scope

The journal welcomes original community service articles, community engagement reports, implementation studies, technology transfer initiatives, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and evidence-based empowerment programs conducted through systematic and measurable approaches. Submissions must clearly describe the community problem being addressed, the intervention or solution implemented, the implementation process, the evaluation methods used, and the measurable outcomes achieved.

LOSARI does not prioritize descriptive activity reports that merely document events without adequate evaluation. Every submission should demonstrate how scientific knowledge, technology, innovation, or empowerment strategies contributed to measurable positive change, community capacity enhancement, technology adoption, behavioral improvement, economic development, or other sustainable impacts within the target community.

Preference is given to manuscripts that demonstrate the implementation or dissemination of research findings, scientific knowledge, technology, innovation, or empowerment models that generate measurable and sustainable impacts within communities.
